Built to be used by everyone.

Made Solid Studio wants this website to work for as many people as possible, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, need larger text, or prefer reduced motion. We treat accessibility the way we treat the rest of our work: something you build in from the start and keep improving, not a box you check once.

What we aim for

We build this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That's the standard most widely referenced for the web, and it's what we design and test toward here.

We aim to meet it, and we work to close any gaps we find. We don't claim this site is perfect or fully conformant. Accessibility is ongoing, and a site is never finished. Where we fall short, we'd rather know about it and fix it.

How we build it in

A few of the things we do on this site:

• Clean, semantic HTML, so assistive technology can understand the structure of a page
• Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus states so you can see where you are
• Color and text contrast checked against WCAG thresholds
• Descriptive alt text on images that carry meaning, and empty alt text on images that are purely decorative
• Respect for reduced-motion settings, so animation calms down if your system asks it to
• Real text instead of text baked into images
• Form fields with visible labels that are properly associated with their inputs

Where we may fall short

We'd rather be honest about the limits than pretend there aren't any. Some things here can be less accessible than the rest of the site:

• Third-party content, such as embedded maps, video players, and scheduling or form tools, follows its provider's accessibility, not ours
• Older posts and pages may not yet meet the standard we hold new work to
• Documents we link to, such as PDFs, may not be fully accessible
